We got married!

The highlight of our year (and probably our lives) was our wedding in September. There are no words to describe how meaningful it was to have so many friends and family there to celebrate the day with us.

A few pictures of the day are below. Feel free to download any that you might like to have for your own.  If you have any pictures or videos from the weekend, we would love to see them too; feel free to post them in the comments section.

Holiday Tradition

We took in our annual holiday tradition in Minneapolis by visiting the 8th floor holiday display at Macy's and ordering room service.

Farming

We enjoyed the change of pace of being able to help Erin's dad with the harvest this fall. Tim drove the combine and Erin chased him with the grain cart.

Brains!

In, October Erin and her friend Alicia participated in the Zombie walk for the third year by performing Michael Jackson's Thriller dance.

New York City

We had the chance to travel to New York City in July to celebrate the wedding of one of Tim's high school classmates.  In addition to the wedding, we had the chance to visit family we had not seen in awhile. While visiting Tim's uncles on City Island, we had the chance to go sailing and take a spin in Tim's first car. And, later in the weekend, Erin's nephew provided a perfect tour of Brooklyn.

Farewell Rubaiya, Welcome Fady!

Over the course of the year, we participated in a Friendship Family program at Augustana College in Sioux Falls.

In May, we said farewell to Rubaiya, the first student we got to know through the program, as she graduated from Augustana and returned to Bangladesh. We hosted a bonfire for her and her friends to send her off properly.

This fall, we then met Fady, from Tunisia. Fady has helped us cook several dishes from home.

Italy & France

In May, we traveled through Italy and France.  We enjoyed exploring Rome, hiking in the Cinque Terre, and soaking in the sun in Nice, France.
